Wax-Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Shop wax-resin thermal transfer ribbons for durable barcode, warehouse, product and industrial label printing.

Wax-resin provides greater resistance to scratching, rubbing and handling than standard wax ribbon while maintaining excellent barcode clarity and print quality.  Available in:

110mm × 300m
110mm × 450m

Why Choose Wax-Resin Ribbon?

Wax-resin provides an excellent balance between:

• Print quality
• Durability
• Barcode clarity
• Abrasion resistance
• Cost

It is particularly useful when standard wax ribbon is not durable enough, but full resin performance is unnecessary.

Wax vs Wax-Resin vs Resin

Choose Wax-Resin If:

• Labels are handled frequently
• Barcodes need greater durability
• Product labels must remain readable longer
• Scratch resistance is important
• You need better performance than standard wax
• Full resin is unnecessary for the application

300m vs 450m — Which Should I Choose?

110mm × 300m

Choose the 300m ribbon when:

• Your printer supports 300m ribbon rolls
• Printing volume is moderate
• A smaller ribbon format is required

110mm × 450m

Choose the 450m ribbon when:

• Your printer accepts longer industrial ribbon rolls
• Printing volume is high
• You want fewer ribbon changes
• Large industrial TT label rolls are being used

Important: Ribbon length must match the capabilities of your printer.

Collection FAQs

Q: What is wax-resin ribbon used for?

Wax-resin is used for thermal transfer barcode and identification printing where greater durability than standard wax is required.

Q" Does wax-resin require thermal transfer labels?

Yes. It is designed for compatible thermal transfer label materials and printers.

Q" Does wax-resin work in direct thermal printers?

Not in direct thermal-only printing mode. A printer must support thermal transfer printing and ribbon installation.

Q: Should I choose 300m or 450m?

Choose according to your printer’s ribbon capacity and printing volume. 450m is normally more convenient for higher-volume printing.

Q: Is wax-resin suitable for 100mm-wide labels?

A 110mm ribbon can be well suited to many approximately 100mm-wide label applications, provided the printer and media configuration are compatible.
